Margaret Proudfoot

Sculptor Margaret Proudfoot uses diverse materials and processes to make objects and prints addressing ideas about location, division, and connection. Her work can often be read as object, drawing and textile. Currently reflecting an engagement with line, which could be narrative, biological or cartographic. Working by hand with metal, paper and cloth she explores boundaries, borders and the linear qualities of wire.

Having studied sculpture and printmaking at Camberwell School of Art Margaret has work in public and private collections and continues to exhibit widely. With a particular commitment to Arts in Health she has work on display in hospital and GP sites around the country and in the collections of Paintings in Hospitals, St George’s Hospital and Vital Arts.
